Whitehaven is thrilled to be the sponsor of popular cycling event the Whitehaven GrapeRide, held every year in sunny Marlborough. Unfortunately due to ongoing issues with the route used by the GrapeRide, the 2023 event has been CANCELLED.
The Whitehaven GrapeRide is a fun and unique cycling event through Marlborough's best spots including the Marlborough Sounds. The GrapeRide has three routes to choose from with something for everyone:
THE CLASSIC GRAPERIDE AND MAGNUM - starting and finishing at Vines Village this route takes you through the scenic Marlborough Sounds for the Classic 101km loop or the Magnum, two laps for a full 202km loop.
THE TASTER - a snippet of the classic, the Taster is a 42km loop focusing on the fun.
THE MOUNTAIN BIKE - your choice of either a 21km or 42km jaunt through varied features of the Wairau river bed taking in beautiful views up the Wairau valley and across the plains to the Southern Valleys.
THE KIDS RIDE - the inaugural kids ride for those 12 and under. The kids ride is a fun, 5km loop to the Wairau river stop bank and through adjacent vineyards. Parents, grandparents and carers are welcome to accompany their kids for the ride.
