Whitehaven is releasing a strictly limited number of library wines. Carefully selected by our winemaking team these wines are reflective of the quality and evolution of Marlborough Pinot Noir through the decades, and as a Compass Wineclub member we are offering you exclusive access to secure these wines.
This release comes as a pack of three different vintage Pinot Noir, and only 36 packs are available for release. If you are a Pinot Noir lover, please don't miss out on this inaugural offering.
This pack includes one bottle each of the 2010, 2013 and 2105 Pinot Noir wines.
Whitehaven Marlborough Pinot Noir 2010
2010 was a vintage with low yields, cooler temperatures, and a long Autumn leading to a late April harvest. This wine is lovely on the nose with plush, savoury, and game notes, and a silken and smooth texture on the palate. Enjoy by the fire with a slow cooked braised beef. Drink now.
Whitehaven Marlborough Pinot Noir 2013
This wine is in a lovely spot with primary fruit still obvious and attractive developing aged characters in support, all wrapped up very elegantly. With appealing red and dark cherry fruit aromas and flavours, spicey notes and a gorgeous structure framed by discreet French oak, this wine is at its peak and has the potential to develop a little further. While enjoyable now, this wine could be cellared for another 1-2 years.
Whitehaven Marlborough Pinot Noir 2015
This is a powerful Pinot Noir, with fruit concentration and oak influence providing structure on the palate. Despite its age this wine is still youthful, with lovely primary fruit flavours and seamless fruit and oak integration. With careful cellaring this wine could age comfortably for another 3-5 years.
