Vacancy – MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Management Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting for the business. This is a permanent full-time position (however, part-time could be considered).
Key responsibilities include:
· Month-End Close: Responsible for all balance sheet and inventory reconciliations and ensuring accurate month-end journal postings.
· Reporting & Analysis: Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and board/audit schedules; providing financial insights and supporting budgeting/forecasting.
· Annual Reporting & Audit: Assisting in annual financial statements preparation and acting as the primary auditor contact.
· Compliance: Working in accordance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements; supporting bank covenant reporting.
· Insurance: Contributing to the annual insurance renewal process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
About You
You will be / have:
· A recognised accounting qualification or currently working towards one.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management accounting role or similar.
· Wine industry experience preferred but not essential.
· Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and management reporting
· Advanced excel skills.
· Experience with Xero and inventory management systems desirable.
· Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and to pro-actively meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to build rapport with a wide range of people and personalities.
· A team player with a positive, “can do” attitude.
