"Sourced from the Awatere Valley, Whitehaven's 2019 Greg Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is conventionally made in stainless steel, with enzyme-aided clarification, cultured yeasts and cool fermentation temperatures. In short, it's much like any number of other Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs. So, it seems likely that its distinctive notes of crushed tomato and celery leaf derive from the vineyard and climatic conditions. It's medium-bodied and crisp, with bright citrus and stone fruit notes, the aforementioned leafiness and just enough sugar left in it (4.3 grams per liter) to keep it from coming across as austere." 90/100 Points, Joe Czerwinski for Robert Parker, US.
