From an Awatere Valley site, the 2018 Greg Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc features those characteristic notes of crushed tomato leaf and nettles—in this case, they're almost smoky in their intensity. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with plenty of pineapple and melon fruit to round out the mid-palate, then refocuses into a tight, crisp finish. 91/100 pts reviewed for Robert Parker by Joe Czerwinski.
