Nobel Riesling, Double Gold, Six Nations Wine Challenge

We are thrilled to have been invited so submit our Noble Riesling 2018 wine to the Six Nations Wine Challenge 2019, and to have received a Double Gold! New Zealand also took out the Best Nation Category showcasing the high calibre of NZ wine.

Our Double Gold Medal winning Noble Riesling has a dense, luscious texture, balanced by a firming acidity. The fruit and honeyed flavours are layered and persist on the rich, lengthy finish with a bouquet of ripe apricot, mango and marmalade fruit flavours, with notes of beeswax and honey.

The unique Six Nations Wine Challenge was launched in 2003 involving New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Chile, South Africa and the USA. The most influential wine judge from each of the leading New World wine countries is invited to list their top 100 wines covering 16 typical varietal classes. The New World nations were chosen in light of their proven quality coupled with their judge’s view that there was sufficient range to compete and to win. Annually the judges make their selections in light of their intimate knowledge of their own nation’s wines.
