    WINE ANALYSIS

    Alcohol: 10%
    Residual Sugar: 10.8g/L
    Acidity:  7.4g/L
    pH: 2.92

    VITICULTURE

Climate: 2020 was a classical growing season with plenty of sunshine, not too much heat through Summer and a return to cool nights preceding harvest, ensuring acidities and flavours remained bright and vibrant. This was all built on good rainfall pre-Christmas, which set the vines up with healthy working canopies that held through to the end of harvest. The weather over harvest was settled and dry, allowing fruit to be harvested in lovely condition.

    WINEMAKING

Harvest Date: 11th of March, 2020

Winemaking: The fruit was machine harvested in cool, early morning conditions, and pressed immediately with minimal skin contact. After settling, the clear juice was fermented at low temperatures with selected yeast strains to preserve the inherent varietal flavours. The wine was fermented entirely in stainless steel.

    ACCOLADES

    • "Fresh and inviting, the bouquet shows Granny Smith apple, rockmelon, feijoa and lemon zest aromas. It's delightfully expressed on the palate, displaying elegant weight and lively mouthfeel, finishing long and mouth-watering. 10% ABV." 91/100 Points, Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, NZ
    • "With a finished alcohol of just 10% - this wine still showcases aromas of tropical fruits, sweet grapefruit and apple. On the palate - crisp, fleshy, juicy, salivating and just dry with some residual sweetness. There’s a core of fruit with citrus and tree fruit flavours, tropical fruit punch and mineral. Plenty of acidity to add crispness and carry the flavours throughout the palate - Best drinking from today and through Summer 2022." 89/100 Points, Cameron Douglas, NZ
    • "Naturally lower in alcohol by picking early… This is a lively and light bodied Sauvignon Blanc with 10% ABV and 10 grams of residual sugar. Its acidity is slightly higher which gives this wine its extremely refreshing and succulent qualities as well as a lingering finish." Joelle Thomson, NZ
